The UltraSun UV.R VacRod 150 is a premium solar hot water system designed to provide efficient, reliable, and cost‑effective hot water for medium‑sized households. Using advanced solar thermal technology, it captures energy from the sun and converts it into heat with very high efficiency — delivering hot water for bathing, washing, cooking, and other daily needs with minimal reliance on grid electricity.
At the heart of the system are double‑layer borosilicate glass vacuum tubes. Each tube consists of two concentric glass layers with a vacuum between them to minimize heat loss and maximize solar energy absorption, even in cooler or cloudy conditions. A copper heat transfer rod within each tube conducts heat to an aluminium header manifold, which transfers it efficiently into the water. The heated water then circulates naturally into the storage tank on the thermosyphon principle, so no pump or external power is required for circulation.
The 150‑litre storage tank is constructed from heavy‑duty SU316 stainless steel, giving excellent corrosion resistance and long service life. It is encased in an insulated painted steel casing to retain heat and reduce energy loss. A robust anodised aluminium frame supports the tubes and tank, ensuring a durable installation that can withstand typical outdoor environments.
